Valloire, 1430 m, is a charming village ski resort, at the heart of the Galibier mountain range, in the Maurienne valley in southern area of the Northen Alps.
It is a good family resort with a wide range of activities for all ages. There is an open air ice skating rink, fitness centre, paragliding, microlight flights, dog sledding and an adventure park.
At Christmas time there is a craftsmans' market in Valloire, whilst in January Valloire hosts an ice sculpture contest.

Skiing Area:
Valloire offers fantastic skiing areas, Le Sétaz, Le Crey and Valmeinier with 150km of skiing for all levels of skiers. As Valloire is north-facing it has a particularly good snow record.. With high altitude skiing to 2600m, 70% of the Valloire Valmeinier ski domaine lies above 2000m, offering excellent conditions throughout the ski season.
There are 85 ski slopes over 150 km: 20 green, 25 blue, 34 red, 6 black runs.

Galiber Ski Chalet Apartments**** luxury chalet apartments with prestige service, sleep 2 to 8, swimming pool and spa - max 200m to piste , just 1 km from village centre with a free shuttle bus service.
Hameau Ski Apartments new comfort apartments, sleep 2 to 10, and swimming pool , 1.5 km from the resort centre and shops. It is 1.2km from the ski lifts (free public shuttle bus service operates throughout the resort).
Golden Valley Ski apartments, sleep 2-10, quality apartments with indoor/outdoor pool, sauna. 10-200m from pistes and 600-900m from village centre
Chalet Ourse, **** prestige chalet, sleeps 10 in 4 bedrooms, just 50m to piste and in the village centre,

The Residence is situated just 400m from the centre of the resort in the Choseaux area. Composed of traditional-style, very comfortable chalets offering several types of apartment ranging from the 2 roomed apartment for 4 people to the larger 4 roomed apartment sleeping 8/9 people.
Set in Valloire/ Galibier, is this magnificent luxury chalet, comprising of 6 apartments, situated in the centre of the resort, near the ski lifts.
