Skiing:
We have carefully selected resorts to encompass all types of ski holiday. Our resorts cover the main ski areas in the French Alps: the Three Valleys, Portes du Soleil, Espace Killy, Paradiski, Grand Massif, Les Oisans and Les Sybelles. This means that there is a wide variety of skiing available in all resorts, making them perfect for a family or group holiday, so that all abilities can enjoy the skiing and snowboarding.
For 2007/8 winter season we have greatly extended our catalogue, and have accommodation in the largest interlinked ski areas: Portes du Soleil and Three Valleys in France as well as the newly interlinked Paradiski area of La Plagne and Les Arcs. We have extended into the Les Oisains - 6 valleys area with old favourite sunny, high Alpe d'Huez and interlinked Vaujany.
We have extended our accommodation in Les Deux Alpes for winter 07/08 and have added the well known Espace Killy resorts of Tignes and Val d'Isere. For quieter skiing, why not try the pretty and newly interlinked resorts of St Sorlin d'Arves and Toussuire which give the Les Sybelles area
Each resort is very different but all benefit from superb skiing for all levels, with easy access from the chalets to the ski lifts and slopes..
Combine continual investment in the lift system, and snowmaking with good snow records - and the result is spectacular.
Les Gets, Portes du Soleil is a traditional, friendly alpine ski resort on the French/Swiss border - a well kept secret, popular with the French and those "in the know". Pistes start and finish in the heart of the village. Night life is low key and centres around the 25 bars and restaurants. The pretty village is in an open sunny mountain pass and is quite large with 100 or so shops. Snow conditions are much better than height would suggest as it is in the snow shadow of Mont Blanc, slopes are grassy and so pistes are skiiable with small depths of snow. The slopes ae mainly north facing and so hold the snow well. Les Gets is often open when higher but rockier resorts are closed.
There are lots of activities for the non skier and the resort is child friendly.
Travel is easy - 1 hour transfer from Geneva airport, or one of the most accessible resorts by car: 8/10 hours from channel ports on the autoroute.
Morzine, Portes du Soleil, new to our programme for the 2006/7 winter season. Morzine is only 15 mins from Les Gets and 1 hour 15 mins from Geneva airport. Similar to Les Gets in many respects, Morzine is larger but the Pleney (main) pistes still finish in the centre, making it a true alpine ski village. Morzine forms the link in the chain of the Portes du soleil ski area, linking Les Gets and Avoriaz and the rest of the Portes du Soleil. Night life is busier than in neighbouring Les Gets, and there are more non skiing activities, but Morzine avoids the brash hassle of the package ski resorts. As with Les Gets, snow conditions much better than height would suggest as it is in the snow shadow of Mont Blanc, slopes are grassy and so pistes are skiiable with small depths of snow. The slopes ae mainly north facing and so hold the snow well.
We have a variety of ski chalets and ski apartments in Morzine, near to the centre and the Pleney slopes, or near to the Super Morzine lift which forms the link to Avoriaz and the extensive Portes du Soleil ski domaine. New for winter 2007/8 are our luxury ski apartments with swimming pool in Morzine
