About Us
We are keen skiers who have never quite reached the " expert" stage !!
Our children are keen snowboarders and better skiers than us!! In the 2002/3 season we gave up our jobs as University lecturer ( Dorothy) and Director (John) to run Alpine Charms and Alp-Apartments as well as our summer programme - Superb Summers.
Since 2002/3 we have spent the winters in Les Gets and travelling around the alps researching new resorts and accommodation. For the rest of the year we are based in the UK but frequently travel to see new resorts and accommodation.

Love to ski but on a budget?
Beat the credit crunch - have a look at our collection of great value self catering apartments in large and small resorts.Value Apartments - all are attractive, clean and functional.
In the large, more expensive resorts we have the more basic apartments without the luxury and extras of our chalets and luxury spa apartments . Its a value way to stay in a prestigious resort.
In the samller resorts, often interlinked to the same ski area as the more prestigious resorts, we have quality apartments at very good prices. The smaller resorts are either small village resorts or purpose built - typically in village style
Early and Late Holidays
Many of the apartments are in high resorts, ideal for early and late holidays when prices are low.
If you can, come in low season, prices are particuarly good, slopes empty, flights cheap and we can often arrange flexible dates.
Self Catering
Self cater and pick a ski in/out apartment and ski home for lunch - save expensive mountain lunches, apres ski drinks and evening meals in resort.
Summer Skiing
Try summer skiing on glaciers in Tignes and Les 2 alpes and mountain biking and walking in all resorts. Summer in the alps is fantastic with summer skiing, mountain biking, all water activities, walking, climbing, horse riding, tennis and fabulous scenery.
Rates in summer are particuarly cheap.
Short breaks are often available out of season.
Sign up with airlines for fare alerts and book early for best prices, but beware of booking non Sat to Sat flights, in the peak season unless you have accommodation already organised.
